CABOPOL – POLYMER COMPOUNDS, S.A. is currently implementing Investment Project No. 28291, with a total eligible investment of €801,334.29, supported by the Recovery and Resilience Plan (RRP) and funded by the European Union through NextGenerationEU.
The UVLinked project aims to develop UV-activated photocrosslinkable polymer compounds for automotive cable applications.
This investment seeks to achieve new formulations of modified polyolefins and thermoplastic elastomers, as well as the experimental development of photocrosslinking processes that can be integrated into continuous extrusion lines. The project will demonstrate the feasibility of replacing conventional thermal and chemical crosslinking methods, resulting in reduced energy consumption and lower CO₂ emissions.
